I have gone through a few logos since I started Plum Blossom Farm 7 years ago. At first I started on a very small budget and so drew an image. I then had a friend use a basic program to color and effect it. I did not know or understand about using vector images so that the logo would never be distorted no matter the size. This was the first logo and it lasted me 6 years but looked homemade.
I thought it was charming but I was ready for a more professional look last year. So I found a student was familiar with Illustrator and I paid him a small fee to design a new logo for me. I had trouble communicating what I wanted my logo to convey so I do not blame him for not getting it just how I wanted. We sent images and suggestions back and forth several times and finally came up with a logo that I was okay with but not thrilled about.
I am ready for a logo I love! I have been working to come up with an idea for an image that conveys the message and feeling of my farm and business. I have tinkered and pondered and sketched and doodled. Nothing I have come up with meets my expectations of a logo I am excited about. I have finally come to the conclusion that it will be worth it for me to pay a professional to design one for me. I have found a designer on Etsy that I am so impressed with, Camille Chung. I scrolled through her work and was delighted by all of them. I have ordered a custom logo and I look forward to sharing the results with you later this month! Some of Camille’s beautiful work:
