I will be headed up to Seattle for the Renegade Craft Fair this weekend. This is my first Renegade event and Seattle’s first as well so this should be exciting! It looks to be great weather, which I am not sure if will hurt or help the fair but we will see. Luckily one of my dearest friends lived in Ballard so I have a cheap place to say. I do love Seattle and I look forward to seeing how my felted products do in the Pacific Nortwest! Wish me luck!
One of the Peninsula’s Premier Fall Festivals, the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce’s Art & Wine Faire celebrates its 24th year! The Faire covers both sides of San Carlos Avenue (between El Camino and Walnut) and down Laurel Street from San Carlos Avenue to Arroyo. The Faire is easily accessible from Caltrain and SamTrans. A wide selection (over 275) of high quality, hand-picked artists and specialty food vendors present their beautiful work for Faire goers. There will be a treasure trove of ceramics, pottery, watercolor, oil paintings, photography, wood working and jewelry – something for everyone! Enjoy fine wines and microbrews, delicious food vendors, entertainment on three stages and the Family Fun Zone with lots of hands-on activities for the kids.
I’m sure as most of you are aware Napa County suffered a 6.0 earthquake recently. It caused extensive damage to the town of Napa and will take a long time to rehab some areas.
Unfortunately the city of Napa has decided to cancel the upcoming Napa Artisans Fair that was supposed to take place this coming Saturday, September 6. The merchants and the city were hoping that the fair could go on to draw in tourists and let the public know that it’s business as usual. But upon further inspection the street damage was too bad to allow for vendor or visitor safety so the fair has been canceled.
I wish the lovely town of Napa the best a speedy recovery. I do still plan to be at the Gifts N Tyme fair there in November.
